Supply Chain and Logistics Management Trainee – Automotive Supplier (Pak-Rite Industries)
As a Pak-Rite Supply Chain and Logistics Management Trainee you will acquire the practical knowledge and hands-on training needed to succeed in our business. In this position you will learn all about the production, shipment and distribution of automotive parts covering everything from inventory to sells.

In this program you will optimize a broad foundation of skills and competencies in supply chain management, ultimately leading to a rewarding career with Pak-Rite, a leading automotive supplier. Our training program entails direct visibility to senior leadership all while collaborating with others to learn about the following key components: Purchasing / Procurement Functions / Sourcing / Data Science and Analytics.
- Review release schedule to current inventory levels twice a week
- Run and review purchasing schedule for LOB 21 and LOB 02
- Place Purchase Orders according to purchasing schedules
- Follow up with suppliers on open purchase orders
- Notify any delays to the team, including Material Flow and Management
- Organize and prioritize daily purchasing duties
- Expedite orders based on customers’ needs
- Create purchase orders as needed; i.e. shortages or release increases
- Enter material receipts as needed.
- Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers
- Request for updated component pricing as necessary
- Generate and send our “Forecast” at the beginning of each month to specific suppliers
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Data Science/Analytics or related field.
- Internship or related work experience in a customer-facing role preferred.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to learn and navigate various technology platforms.
- Committed to learning and growing; receptive to feedback and developing self-awareness.
- High level of commitment to operation and job responsibilities.
- Results oriented attention to detail and effective time management and organizational skills.
- Builds and develops positive working relationships within department at all levels.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
