PakNet Technologies is seeking a Technology Leader to oversee client projects, networks, and communications. This position is best suited for someone who has IT/AV and/or communications experience. Must possess social skills and work well with others
Initially will be working with another lead to become acclimated to company processes. After becoming accustomed, will be responsible for working within and managing a team environment to ensure that technology-based projects are completed by the required time and to meet client needs. Also, coordinating and planning daily goals on technical projects. Share technical knowledge with the team on projects. Read diagrams and drawings with other leads to develop scope of work plans. Direct others to make sure all equipment required to complete goals are provided when deploying technicians on a project. Communicate with clients to coordinate and schedule, explain solutions, and answer technical questions.
Must have the ability and experience to understand, design, and install technology infrastructures of all types (hardware, software, cabling, networking, fiber, etc..) and report back to office of any missing items in a timely manner.
This job requires:
- Experience with installation, testing and terminating of low-voltage and data cabling.
- Experience with installing and configuring physical security/surveillance systems.
- Experience with installing and configuring audio/visual systems.
- Experience installing and configuring WAPs.
- Experience with telecommunications room and network data closet buildouts (rack construction, terminations, wire management, etc..)
- Must be able to understand complex wiring diagrams, line drawings, and floor plans.
Experience with general construction/contracting a plus, along with technical background and knowledge. Must be an efficient problem solver, advancing past issues to the best of their ability per situation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have 3-4 years of general IT experience to include technical deployments.
- Must have 1-2 years of successful IT infrastructure system deployment and installations.
- Information Technology Certifications a plus.
- Experience and other Communications/Manufacturer certifications in the contracting field or in a related area beneficial but not required.
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field and can solve practical problems with a variety of variables.
- Ability to read and interpret network and cabling diagrams is a must.
- Must have knowledge of various types of cables, connectors, IT/AV industry standard hardware and software.
- Ability to safely drive and operate a vehicle (Valid driver’s license is required)
- Must work well with others and have excellent customer service skills.
