About the Firm
We are a Financial Advising practice located outside of downtown Latrobe, PA. We’re a small firm with multiple advisors and multiple support staff. Our team is fast-paced, driven, and enjoyable to work with.
Our goal is to provide our clients with the HIGHEST LEVEL of financial service possible. Our clients are mainly locals with families who turn to us as industry experts in financial products, investment advice, and financial planning.
What are we looking for?
Pakos Wealth Management is looking for a Junior Advisor/ Paraplanner with a positive attitude that is kind-hearted, enjoyable to be around, family-oriented, and very driven. We’re looking for an individual with experience or knowledge in the financial industry interested in supporting our current advisors and our growing business.
What is the purpose of the role?
We need someone that will assist the current advisors in the firm by completing a lot of the “back-stage” work such as portfolio management, money movement, trading, vendor contact/ product knowledge, financial planning, client recommendations, and some client engagement. There will be training in all areas to get you up to speed with our processes and philosophies.
We would like this person to be confident growing into a financial planner or financial advisor role over the next few years. We see the business continuing to grow and therefore will have constant room for career path growth and promotions. Our current lead advisors will take you under their wings to acclimate you to our client base and train you on everything needed to step into their shoes.
What are the responsibilities? (Financial Planning 50%, Customer Service 45%, Marketing 5%)
- Portfolio management

Position type & expected hours of work
Full time, in the office (Latrobe, PA).
Normal days are 8AM – 4PM, but we often cover 1-2 late nights per week for client meetings. During February to April 15th (tax season), we are open longer hours (normally 8AM -5PM) because clients come in for tax/ financial meetings at the same time.
Travel Requirements
Local client meetings or conferences as necessary (normally 1-2 times per month for single days)
Out of state meetings (1-2 times per year for 3-4 days)

Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience working at; financial practice, bank, accounting firm, major wire house, Insurance Broker, financial product sales, etc.
- Series 7
- Series 66 (OR Series 63 & 65)
- All Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint)
- CRM software (Redtail, Oracle CRM, Salesforce, etc.)
- Portfolio building
- Phone etiquette
- Ability to understand and implement new technologies to improve efficiencies
