Summary:
The Controller is responsible for a variety of financial and accounting related capacities. The Controller serves as the steward of our General Ledger and works intimately with our ERP system to input, extract and analyze financial information. The role manages the payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable personnel and process. In tandem with professional qualities, we are seeking an individual that embraces our culture and helps foster a productive and rewarding environment for our customers and team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages and oversees the General Ledger, including preparing GL entries and reconciliation of accounts to ensure proper adherence to GAAP.
- Oversees the management and coordination of fiscal activities including revenue, expenses, cash flow, cost analysis and budgets.
- Coordinates with CPA firm to prepare and provide all year-end schedules for annual financial review, tax preparation and 401k audit.
- Provides analysis of cost accounting procedures and inventory consumption to ensure accurate costing.
- Completes a margin analysis for various products to identify trends in our production process.
- Manages capital assets and depreciation schedules.
- Completes analysis, prepares journal entries and month end financial statements according to GAAP.
- Prepares and files state sales tax and property tax returns.
- Completes timely and accurate multi-entity consolidated reporting requirements for the Bank.
- Oversees daily operations of accounting department and supervises accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll staff.
- Reviews payroll to help ensure consistent, accurate, and timely submissions.
- Manages accounting functions of the Real Estate entities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This job supervises the accounting team.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the Controller capacity.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in accounting with increasing responsibility.
- Strong computer skills with ERP system, sequel data bases and ability to query data.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel and analytical tools within.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving personality.
