Estimator - Bid Coordinator

PAL-CON, Ltd. repairs, services, refurbishes, manufactures, removes, and installs gas turbine regenerators for the natural gas and electric utility industries. Regenerators are built and installed for efficient heat transfer from one medium to another. We also provide engineering, fabrication, and installation services for clients.

***MUST HAVE - Experience in metal fabrication, compressor station equipment, sales, business development, AND market analysis***

Responsibilities

The Estimator/Bid Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the beginning-to-end bid submission process. They will ensure the successful, timely submission of accurate competitive proposals that meet RFP and client requirements to secure new business opportunities and maintain existing business relationships.

• Serve as the client point of contact; respond to requests for proposals; implement bid strategies to meet business objectives
• Coordinate site visits; coordinate and lead proposal-related meetings
• Manage the bid qualification process for new opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for bids
• Oversee proposal production, review, and edit proposal content to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements
• Conduct market research to support bid decisions, as necessary
• Track submissions; utilize software tools for efficient client and bid management
• Negotiate with clients on pricing and contract terms
• Drive strategic planning for successful bid submissions
• Utilize CRM tools for bid tracking

Required skills and qualifications

• Strong customer relationship management skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; detail oriented
• Proficiency in bid management tools; familiarity with CRM systems
• Ability to negotiate effectively and strategically
• Excellent project management capabilities; able to meet deadlines; flexible; detailed follow-through
• Experience in metal fabrication, compressor station equipment, sales, business development, and market analysis

This position requires proposal creation and submission experience along with account management and business development experience; CRM software experience (HubSpot) is a plus.

The ideal candidate will be highly detail oriented and critically minded with the ability to prioritize. They will be reliable and flexible with the ability to take and retain detailed notes and accurate records as well as change their focus at a moment's notice.

The Estimator/Bid Coordinator’s dedication to the success of PAL-CON, Ltd. is necessary as is his/her ability to keep all matters relating to PAL-CON, Ltd. in strict confidence is mandatory. This position reports directly to C-level management.

Job Type: Full-time; standard work hours are 7:00 AM until 5:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. Please note as production requirements may change, this position's hours will vary as well.

This position is not remote; ability to commute or relocate to the Stephenville, Texas area is required; limited travel may be required.
