Roles & Responsibilities:
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Enforce all Park and Dorm rules and regulations
- Monitor Park assets with intent to ensure the safety of all our guests and employees
- Maintain constant vigilance of assigned location to identify any potential issues or safety concerns; communicate any potential issues to other departments and/or leadership in a timely manner
- Maintain compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe environment for colleagues and guests
- Monitor resident safety and communicate conflicts to supervisor
- Assist after-hours resident arrivals with check-in and communicate with P&O
- Accurately document any incidents in residence hall in timely manner for P&O to address with residents in a timely manner
- Take control of emergency and intense situations while remaining calm
- Professionally manage crowd control during emergency situations
- Exercise clear and concise communications with all park departments
- Utilized electronic card access, closed circuit television, and other audio/visual monitoring systems, monitors and supervises the response to all reports or irregular conditions, including the unauthorized entry of persons or vehicles to protected buildings and areas, breaches of perimeter security or any other suspicious activities occurring on the property.

Education and Experience:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent; Equivalent work experience will also be considered
- 1 year of previous security or related experience highly desired
- Wisconsin Security Identification Card are preferred, but not required
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age to comply with Wisconsin Child Labor Laws
- Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work third shift (overnight) if the park security operates on a 24-hour schedule
- Must have reliable transportation to and from your scheduled shift
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate motorized vehicles and equipment
- Ability to comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions
- Ability to apply knowledge of security methods, procedures, interviewing, listening, and note-taking techniques for specific situations
- Ability to deal fairly, objectively, and courteously with the public without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, or political beliefs
- Ability to analyze people and/or situations quickly and calmly and take appropriate actions in a quick and effective manner
- Ability to operate a variety of electronic equipment, such as cameras, radios, personal computers, or other communication devices
- Ability to professionally and calmly deal with stressful and/or tense situations
- Ability to collaborate with other team members, external first responders, and emergency personnel during emergency situations
- Must possess exceptional customer service skills, with an ability to resolve questions, problems, issues, and concerns in a positive and professional manner
- Ability to maintain certifications as required by assignment
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for majority of the workday
- Ability to occasionally stoop, twist, kneel, bend, squat, or reach above shoulders
- Ability to walk, stand, or run on uphill, downhill, or uneven surfaces.
- Ability to remain sedentary for extended periods of time, while using a computer/camera equipment
- Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more
- Must have good visual acuity, night vision, and peripheral vision.
- Ability to see details of objects that are more than a few feet away
Working Conditions:
- This role will be based in both an office setting as well as frequent exposure to all other indoor and outdoor park environments
- Frequent exposure to the variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, pollen and other weather conditions
- Subject to dark environments, particularly during midnight shift
- Subject to constant repetitive motion, high noise levels, flashing lights, and heavily populated environments
- Subject to frequent interruptions and requests that may require reprioritization of activities
