Responsibilities
Our Crane Operator will be responsible for operating cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment. They will work closely with site supervisors and other personnel to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating cranes to lift and move materials and equipment
- Reviewing and interpreting lift plans to determine the appropriate crane to use, rigging equipment needed, and load capacity
- Inspecting and maintaining the crane to ensure it is in good working condition
- Following safety guidelines and procedures to ensure work is performed safely
- Communicating effectively with site supervisors, signal persons, and other personnel
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- A minimum of 4 years of experience operating cranes in the field
- NCCO certification on large and small hydraulic cranes
- Be physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to read and interpret lift plans and specifications
- Knowledge of safety procedures, regulations, and standards
