Job Responsibilities
The Crane Operator will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of cranes on construction sites, ports, and other industrial locations. This includes:
1. Operating cranes to lift and move materials, equipment, or machinery
2. Reviewing and interpreting lift plans to determine the appropriate crane to use, rigging equipment needed, and load capacity
3. Inspecting and maintaining the crane, ensuring it is in good working condition
4. Following safety guidelines and procedures to ensure that work is performed safely
5. Communicating effectively with site supervisors, signal persons, and other personnel to ensure a safe and efficient operation
6. Maintaining logs and records of crane operations, including maintenance, inspections, and repairs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• A minimum of 4 years of experience operating cranes in the field
• Must have NCCO certification on large and small hydraulic cranes
• Must be physically fit and able to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to read and interpret lift plans and specifications
• Knowledge of safety procedures, regulations, and standards
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
