ABOUT THE ROLE
Paladin Digital Technical Services, LLC (Paladin DTS) is seeking a VDC Manager to help deliver quality services for our client’s construction projects. As a VDC Manager, you will be responsible for delivering high quality 3-D coordination, conflict resolution, and legacy documentation for new and existing buildings. The VDC Manager will be responsible for populating, coordinating, identifying conflicts, suggesting solutions, and supporting the construction teams.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Lead multiple BIM projects representing Paladin DTS in external and internal focused communications and meetings
Maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders - Pursue new business opportunities by developing proposals and presentations to secure new contracts
- Perform the technical aspects of the coordination, clash detection, document clashes, and clash reporting
- Analyze problems, determine priorities, and take actions to resolve problems
- Build technically accurate models
- Develop, manipulate, and maintain models for projects during pre-construction and construction
Draw systems to specification and code requirements - Mentor, develop, and coach team members
- Review Revit models, make, and request changes
- Lead project planning efforts
- Analyze problems, assign priorities, and determine corrective actions
Duties will be added, removed, or modified as necessary
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in computer Drafting and Design, Construction Management, or related field
- Five (5) years of BIM coordination experience within the A/E/C industry
- Previous field experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing would be preferred but not required
- Experience using Engineering and Construction software, such as Revit, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and 3D Scanning programs
- Ability to work on multiple tasks with minimal supervision while planning, scheduling, organizing, and completing tasks within established deadlines
- Clear and effective communicator, oral and written communication
- Provider of excellent customer services to both internal and external customers and makes meeting customer needs a top priority
- High levels of attention to detail to improve the accuracy of deliverables and reduce rework
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Flexibility in work hours to accommodate project deadlines
- Extended periods of time working on a computer and computer accessories (keyboard, mouse, etc)
- Local travel for client meetings or to job sites <5%
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
