Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. The operations manager will assist in managing daily activities, supervising staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding results.
Duties:
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer complaints or issues
- Supervise and train store staff to ensure they meet performance expectations
- Handle cash register operations and perform cash handling duties
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new employees
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff members
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop strategies to increase sales and improve profitability
- Assist in implementing marketing initiatives to drive customer traffic
Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in basic math and retail math calculations & excel
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and cash register operations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of recruiting and hiring practices is a plus
