Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent – Preferred
Experience:
- One year experience in a medical office/ physician practice environment - Preferred
Skills:
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- May require occasional lifting of 25 pounds or more
- Requires manual dexterity to handle heavy paperwork volume, operate keyboard, calculator, photocopy machine, and other office equipment
- Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to read number, policies, and computer terminals. Requires hearing within normal range for telephone use. Occasional exposure to acutely ill patients and communicable diseases
