PALFINGER is search for a PM Service Mechanic. This is a remote position but will have a physical service center to utilize as needed. We are located at 632 Cedar Swamp Rd., Jackson, NJ 08527. This position reports to the Field Service Manager.

Your Responsbilities

• Perform field service PM, repairs and troubleshooting truck mounted forklifts while using high degree of independent judgment.
• Perform quarterly and annual preventive maintenance per customer schedule. Schedule work and move onto the next task without supervision from their direct manager. Communicate mechanical issues and needed repairs to customer and/or fleet managers.
• Responsible for service documentation in a timely manner that consists of but not limited to; estimates, work order authorization, ordering and recording parts, labor, and inventory documentation.
• Comply with state and federal safety regulations. Follow all DOT rules and regulations.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas.
• Maintain clean and organized service truck.
• Maintain 75% direct billable labor.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• High School or GED expected minimum.
• 1 year mechanical experience or training with emphasis in the area of Truck Mounted Forklifts. Mechanical ability to learn hydraulics, electrical, troubleshooting diagnostics and welding.
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of Windows applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM system.
• Proven ability to work independently, to take initiative and be resourceful.
• Must speak, read, and write English.
• Must supply own basic hand tools. PALFINGER proprietary tools will be provided.
