Performs a variety of technical procedures that require minimum independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the utilization of radio-isotopes for the diagnosis and therapy of disease in humans. Ensures the flow of work in the Nuclear Medicine Department on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
- Possess the credential of Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine, ARRT(N), awarded by the American Registry for Radiologic Technology OR Possess the credential of Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist, CNMT, awarded by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- High Stress
- Works indoors in a well lighted and ventilated area.
- Some direct exposure to contagion, but risk is minimal when proper safety precautions are observed.
- Willingness to work with the realization that errors and incompetency may have serious consequences to patients.
- Constant standing, lifting, moving on occasion objects weighing up to 300 lbs. with assistance from others.
