Essential Job Responsibilities / Duties / Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned :
Assist the manager in overseeing a team of 15-25 employees, supporting supervisory tasks such as conducting interviews, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and managing work; evaluating performance; administering rewards and disciplinary actions; addressing complaints, and resolving issues.Ensure compliance with Federal and California Labor laws throughout the payroll and employment process, from hiring to termination, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.Enforce safety standards in line with company policies and procedures.Perform all duties associated with Terrain Park Staff and Crew Leaders.Supervise the work of Terrain Park Staff to ensure proper maintenance of the Terrain Parks.Contribute ideas for park layout and terrain feature design, and supervise the construction of terrain features.Develop, lead, and deliver user education and training programs.Assess mountain conditions throughout the day and determine necessary actions.Coordinate daily operations with other departments to ensure a safe and smooth mountain experience, collaborate with staff to plan special events, and manage weather-related issues.Delegate tasks and inspect work for safety, quality, and adherence to policies and procedures.Standardize procedures to enhance efficiency.Competencies and Job Requirements :
Required :
Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization.Excellent organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact with othersWorking knowledge of computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)Must be advanced snowboarder or skier.Completion of resort snowmobile operators trainingKnowledge of Terrain Park features and how to build them.Good leadership, customer service, communication and organizational skills.Ability to respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.Ability to effectively present information to managementEducation and Experience :
Required :
High School Diploma or GEDTwo years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceOne year supervisory experienceFamiliarity with terrain parksPreferred :
