Job Summary :
The Ski & Snowboard Team Jr Devo Far West Segment Head Coachoversees a specific age class, segment or sub-segment of a ski or snowboarddiscipline within Team Palisades Tahoe. The Segment Head Coach contributes tothe overall success of Team Palisades Tahoe in accordance with the Mission andVision as measured by the quality of the athlete and employee experience,retention, athlete success, and parent satisfaction. This position worksdirectly with a department or Age Class Manager. Applicants must be 18 years of age. The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of thePalisades Tahoe Resort, LLCs hourly pay range for this position. Actual paywill vary and may be above or below the range based on various factorsincluding but not limited to experience, education, training, location, meritsystem, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regularandor necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of PalisadesTahoe Resort, LLCs total compensation package for employees. Other rewardsmay include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specificbenefits. Base hourly pay range : $22.60 - $39.10 per hour
Essential Job ResponsibilitiesDutiesTasks
include the following; otherduties may be assigned :
Responsible for successful oversight and implementation of specific segment or sub-segment (genderageabilityetc.) of a department discipline andor age class.
Contribute and conform to team athletic processes and philosophies. Work with Manager and other Head Coaches to develop annual training plan. Pursues and maintains coaching certifications while engaging in continuous professional development.
Ensure individual athlete management programs are in place and overseen.
Be knowledgeable and stay informed on industry trends and competition and seek feedback from athletes, parents, staff and company personnel on quality of products and services.
Be fully aware of and support the mission, vision and goals of all aspects of our program, including Alterra.
Knowledge and execution of Department Operating Plan and Guest Experience System
Maintain a regular on-hill presence with direct involvement with daily programming and plans, working directly with Manager.
Participate in all staff training and meetings as required Assist in the management of, and hold coaches (and self) accountable to :

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability toadjust focus.

Education and Experience :
Required :
High School Diploma or GED
Fluent in reading, writing and communicating in English
USSA Level 100, PSIAAASI Level 1, IFSA or equivalent
Prior coaching experience
Prior experience working with youth Preferred
Supervisory Experience
Level 2200 or higher relevant skiing certification
Efficient knowledge of Microsoft Office
