Job Description:
Palisadium Swim & Gym is seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to join our team. In addition to handling maintenance and repairs, the ideal candidate will also be responsible for keeping the facility clean and organized. If you have a variety of repair skills and enjoy maintaining a clean, functional environment, we want you on our team! You must live in Bergen county of New Jersey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry.
- Inspect and repair gym equipment, ensuring all machines are in working order.
- Handle cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing equipment and common areas.
- Ensure locker rooms, restrooms, and other gym areas are kept clean and hygienic.
- Address maintenance and cleaning requests from staff or members in a timely manner.
- Maintain and organize cleaning supplies, tools, and parts for repairs.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down equipment for events and classes.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure all repairs and cleaning procedures comply with health and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a handyman and cleaner, or in a similar role.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair skills.
- Experience with fitness equipment maintenance and cleaning is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a clean, safe environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
