Duties
- Conduct engaging and safe yoga classes for individuals of varying skill levels, ensuring proper alignment and technique.
- Develop class plans that incorporate various styles of yoga, including Hatha, Vinyasa, or Yin, tailored to the needs of participants.
- Provide modifications and adjustments to accommodate different abilities and enhance the experience for all students.
- Foster a supportive community atmosphere that encourages personal growth and connection among participants.
- Stay informed about current trends in yoga and wellness to continually enhance your teaching methods.
- Collaborate with other fitness professionals to integrate yoga into broader fitness programs, including CrossFit or Pilates sessions.
- Promote the importance of body mechanics, physiology knowledge, and overall fitness in your teachings.
Qualifications
- Certification in Yoga Instruction from an accredited program is required.
- Experience in related fields such as CrossFit, Pilates, group fitness training, or sports coaching is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of program design principles and the ability to create effective class structures.
- Knowledge of body mechanics and physiology to ensure safe practice for all participants.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire individuals in a group setting.
- A passion for health and wellness with a commitment to ongoing personal development in the field of fitness.
- Ability to lead classes that may incorporate elements from kickboxing or cycle training as needed.
