The Maintenance and Controls Engineer Role
Test, troubleshoot, and maintain control and electromechanical systems.
Identify areas of improvement and design updates to process and facilities equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electromechanical and PLC/HMI system issues using diagnostic techniques.
- Design and implement retrofits to existing systems, specifying and integrating components.
- Provide technical support for general plant operations and project work.
- Develop preventive maintenance plans to enhance long-term equipment reliability.
- Review and maintain equipment control systems to meet safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Electromechanical Engineering plus 2 years of experience.
- Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls, with the initiative to adapt quickly to new technologies.
- Knowledge of electrical design and safety standards for industrial machinery.
- Equipment integration experience and a strong aptitude for troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems.
