The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for learning all areas of Inkjet-related production, becoming knowledgeable of Continuous Improvement initiatives within the department, assisting other team members as instructed by your Team Lead or supervisor and performing other duties as required by management. The Manufacturing Associate must have the ability to use measuring and test equipment as required, follow all company rules and policies as well as OSHA/EPA regulations. This position reports to the Value Stream Leader and is part of the Metals department.
The 1st shift schedule is Monday through Thursday, 4:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Perform all Ink-jet-related functions including continuous roll operations, strip slitting and cleaning.
Perform quality inspection, material handling and flow.
Gather data, complete all applicable procedures, and provide accurate paperwork and record keeping.
The essential requirements of the job include:
A high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent; ability to analyze, memorize and conduct and comprehend simple mathematical tasks.
Experience in like work centers; ability to be accurate with both calipers and micrometers.
Strong mechanical aptitude and team attitude.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
A heavy manufacturing environment.
Working with steel microfibers.
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, sit, stoop, bend, walk, reach, squat, kneel, push and pull for long periods of time
Ability to wear a face respirator for up to 4 hours at a time
