Position Summary:
Varied day to day activities will include: Unloading inbound freight, materials, and merchandise using a forklift (certification onsite); Locating and moving stock of products with forklift to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies; Assist in preparing vessels for production testing (washing, cleaning, securing, etc.); Assist in unloading raw materials; Assist with equipment monitoring and process monitoring.
Responsibilities:
1. Unload inbound materials, merchandise and stack them to assigned stock location
2. Organize and inventory stored goods (rack and pallet stack)
3. Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
4. Coordinate with Logistics for planned deliveries/shipments on daily basis
5. Transport raw materials to production work areas
6. Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and/or maintenance
7. Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
8. Log critical data for production: temperatures, pressures, flow rates, level, etc.)
9. Assist with unloading of raw materials for the site
10. Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
11. Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
12. Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment (hoses, pumps, valves, agitators, heat exchangers, forklifts, etc.)
13. Pay utmost attention to detail in every operation, every day.
14. Follow Employee Handbook, EHSQ policies and Procedures, and Code of Conduct.
15. Keep company information confidential.
16. Work designated schedule including rotating schedules and overtime (schedules to include days, nights, weekends and holidays/On call, etc.). Future DuPont Schedule is required.
17. Attendance is crucial to position.
Material & Equipment Directly Used:
Computer and office machines, forklifts, hand tools, ladders, process equipment including agitators, pumps, tanks, hoses, flow meters, temperature and pressure indicators/gauges, instrumentation, totes, Personal Protection equipment (PPE), production raw materials, final goods to include: Acrylamide and Polyacrylamides.
Work Environment:
The work environment is a chemical manufacturing utilizing raw materials to manufacturer various chemicals including Acrylamide solution and Polyacrylamides.
The activities of this position will include outdoor activities. This position will have periods of exposure to the elements. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be trained to safely and effectively work around energy of various types, including moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee will be around operating machines and equipment, and exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
The noise level in the work environment can be loud. PPE must be worn as designated. A meticulous attention to safety is required. Any unsafe condition is required to be reported to management immediately.
The position includes designated areas where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn. The typical PPE includes: Ear Protection, Respiratory Protection, Eye Protection, Hard Hats, Safety Glasses, Steel-Toed shoes or boots, Gloves, Chemical Protective Suits.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, sitting, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders. The employee may frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Qualifications:
Education/Skills/Experience:
1. A high school diploma or GED is required
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
1. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record for past 5 years
Skills/Experience:
1. One year forklift operation experience
2. One year operations experience in an industrial setting
3. Ability to be trained in standard operating procedures
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
5. One year operations experience
6. Self- Motivated to learn and adapt
7. Able to work in a fast-paced environment
8. Basic math, trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
9. Ability to complete documents and reports
10. Ability to read, and follow verbal instructions in English. English as a primary or fluent secondary language
11. Willing and able to work overtime (Flexibility is required)
12. Superb Attention to detail
13. Must be able to multi-task
14. Working knowledge of Standard Programs used for Office and Plant Environments

Work Schedule: Current: 8 on / 4 off / 6:00 a.m. – 6 p.m 12-hour rotating shifts, to include days and nights (weekends and holidays) is required. Future requirement of DuPont Schedule.
