Yard Jockey Driver
We are looking for an experienced Yard jockey driver who is safety conscious customer focused and possess a positive attitude. Perform driving duties and special assignments as directed by the Operations Supervisor or Plant Manager.
This is not your average warehouse operation. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, both indoor and outdoor is required.
**Compensation – Hourly
**Day shift – Monday - Friday with the occasional after hours and Saturdays.
As a Jockey driver you will be responsible for:
- Moving trailers back and forth between docks and drop in designated areas/lots
- Must inspect trailers for safety and DOT regulations and report to maintenance as needed.
- switch trailers in the yard as needed for efficient and safe space utilization
- Drops & hooks trailers exchanging loaded ones for empties at dock
- Other duties including administrative and helping other departments as needed
While always being able to occupy yourself with new tasks as needed, you must also be a team player with a solid work ethic who is always prompt, on time, and committed to maintaining consistent work attendance.
Specific qualifications for the role include:
Must have 2 years of recent experience of yard driving experience
Must have a valid driver’s license or CDL Class A license preferred
Basic math skills required
Exceptional attention to detail
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
Ability to meet strict deadlines
Ability to make it to work every day and on time
Ability to follow directions and work part of a team
