What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Palliative Care Doctors Group?
We are a fully independent Medical Outpatient Practice for palliative care specialty owned by a Medical Director who currently has a physician license under Internal Medicine & Hospice/Palliative Care. We are seeking help of a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with open availability who is located in Malibu and or the surrounding cities for home visits. This will be a Full Time position with benefits of scheduling your own appointments and making your own schedule. We are seeking for someone with open availability (including weekends). The NP will be considered as an independent contractor such as a 1099 with an LLC. More details of this will be discussed during the interview/hiring process.
Duties: Treating acute and chronic diagnosis, prescribing and filling medications, ordering DME equipments, labs/diagnostic imaging, and or other outpatient services such as Wound Care, Podiatry & etc, managing patient overall care, case management, educating patients/family on health and life-style. Reviewing labs and imaging results. Writing orders for patients to see certain specialist & etc. Advocating for and developed plans to improve patients well-being. Work along side with our LCSW for care coordination or any other concerns that is address. Attend Monthly meetings. Answer and respond to the office team and patients via phone or text in a timely manner as everyone works remotely.

- Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) required.
- Must have Home Health and or Hospice/Palliative Care experience required.
- Current CPR required
- NPI and DEA required
- Driver License required
- Car Insurance required
- SSI Card
- Physical Exam
- Flu Vaccine required or able to sign a declination form
- Covid Vaccination required and if recently tested positive will need a copy of recent negative results
- Current TB/Chest x-ray required
- Background check required
- Spanish Speaking preferred
- Must be authorize to work in the U.S.

Pay Rate:
$100 per visit for MediCal home patients and $50 for Medicare SNF patients per month. (TBD)
Coverage Area:
Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica, Westwood, West LA, Beverly Hills, & Brentwood.
