Job Description

We are seeking a Food Runner to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of food orders from the kitchen to the dining area. The ideal candidate will work closely with servers, chefs and other team members to provide top-notch service and maintain our high standards of hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Orders Promptly: Efficiently transport food orders from the kitchen to members' tables, ensuring that each dish arrives at the correct table, in the right order and at the right temperature.
• Communicate with Kitchen Staff: Maintain clear communication with kitchen staff to coordinate the timing of food preparation and delivery, ensuring that all items for a table are delivered together and special requests are fulfilled.
• Assist in Table Service: Support the serving team by helping to set tables with appropriate utensils, glassware and napkins. Clear tables between courses, reset them for new members and assist with drink or dessert service when needed.
• Maintain Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure all dining areas, kitchen pass and service stations are kept clean and organized. Help bus tables and bring used dishes and glassware to the dishwashing area promptly.
• Handle Special Requests: Respond to member questions or special dietary needs with professionalism and care, ensuring their experience is tailored to their preferences.
• Monitor Food Presentation: Before delivering orders, check the presentation and quality of food items, reporting any issues to the kitchen or waitstaff to ensure that all meals meet club standards.
• Support Stock Management: Assist with the restocking of service stations, ensuring adequate supplies of plates, silverware, glassware, condiments and napkins are always available during shifts.
• Assist with Events: Participate in setting up and breaking down for private club events, banquets, or large parties, ensuring that all food is delivered on time and in accordance with the event plan.
• Adhere to Health and Safety Standards: Follow proper food handling, hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times. Ensure compliance with club safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for both staff and members.
• Provide Team Support: Collaborate with the entire food and beverage team, including servers, bartenders and kitchen staff, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience for members.
  
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to carry a tray, multiple plates and deliver food efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Professional demeanor and ability to interact with club members courteously.
• Ability to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
• Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
