Collision Repair B Technician

Overview
The Collision Repair B Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of repairs on vehicles involved in collisions. This position requires hands-on and the ability to remove and replace quarter panels, rear body panels, and radiator support. The technician will also be responsible for aligning and rewelding panels to the vehicle. At this level, the ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience and a strong ability to perform complex repairs, ensuring quality results and efficient work practices.

Duties

• Filing dents, pulling and aligning major dents, and applying filler to ensure smooth, flawless repairs.
• Perform body repairs, including dent removal, and panel replacement.
• Align vehicle body parts to manufacturer specifications.
• Refinish repaired areas using painting and finishing techniques.
• Inspect and diagnose vehicle damage to determine repair requirements.
• Asset parts and materials needed for repairs.
• Ensure that all repairs comply with safety and quality standards.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Sanding, priming, and blocking the repaired areas to a perfect finish.
• Demonstrate proficiency in welding and panel replacement techniques.
• Handling a variety of collision repair tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in collision repair or automotive body work.

· I-CAR certification a plus.

• Strong knowledge of body repair and refinishing techniques.
• Ability to operate welding and paint equipment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team.
• Ability to read estimates and repair orders.
