What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Pricing Expert position at Palm Bay International?
Palm Bay International, a dynamic family-owned company, offers one of the nation's most comprehensive portfolios of imported wines and spirits. We are seeking an experienced National Pricing Expert to join our team.
The successful candidate will maintain and manage our national pricing records with our proprietary pricing software. Reporting to the Director of Pricing, you will help to enforce our price positioning on multiple wine and spirit portfolios while being mindful of market trends.
- You will regularly work with large data sets in Excel using skills such as Vlookup, Range Lookups, Pivot Tables, and If/Iferror.
- Manage daily transactional pricing requests in accordance with assigned due dates.
- Help our Brand Teams to execute their planned strategy by maintaining consistent bottle pricing nationally.
- Raise potential pricing issues to managers where we are outside of strategy.
- Track and log price structures to streamline communication to our customers.
- Analyze trends and profitability using COGNOS reporting.
- Ensure compliance with operational policies.
- Effectively communicate with internal departments from sales to the back office.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A Bachelor's Degree required; MBA a plus.
- 3-5 Years of experience.
- Strong communication, both written and verbal.
- Superior organizational skills, detail oriented, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Wine knowledge a plus.
