Location : West Palm Beach FL or Port Washington NY office (3-day Hybrid, T-Th)
Position Overview : The Senior Director of Business Intelligence will define data strategy, build capabilities, and uncover insights to drive sales execution and enhance state and National Accounts performance. This role will provide analytical support, develop a team of sales analysts, and craft executive level summaries to ensure cross-departmental alignment and help drive strategies to achieve profitability goals. The Sr Director of BI will be heavily focused on proactively pushing commercial insights to the entire organization through utilizing internal sales and external category information.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions :
- Administer sales systems including creating, running, and streamlining reports, creating and / or cascading goals, and account & territory management.
- Work with VIP and syndicated data platforms (Circana) to generate data and business insights supporting wholesaler and sales teams.
- Create and manage digital distributor and sales team KPI scorecards.
- Analyze sales data at all points within the 3-tier system, including shipments, depletions, sell-through data, and inventory positions.
- Provide insights, analysis, recommendations, and tools to business groups and other departments.
- Lead a team of analysts through sharing best practices, focusing on process improvement, and real time coaching.
- Build and maintain incentive plans across the entire sales organization.
- Conduct distribution gap analysis to ensure customer / item efficiency.
- Proactively evaluate existing strategies, track key deliverables, and recommend changes when appropriate.
- Work with State Managers and Sales Leadership on the management and execution of strategic initiatives and new concepts to enhance state performance and profitability.
- Distribute sales reports from internal and external sources ensuring data integrity and ease of use, align brands with suppliers.
- Assist in Budget and Forecast process – including long range planning and analysis.
- Perform maintenance of data dimensions and routine updating of tracking tools to promote accuracy and accountability.
- Develop ideas within a team environment regarding data organization and sales reporting.
- Additional related duties may be assigned, as required.
