Associate Dean, School of Liberal Arts and Sciences
SUMMARY
In support of the university’s mission and objectives, the Associate Dean is a key leader in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences assists the school in achieving its mission of fostering intellectual curiosity, open inquiry, critical thinking, the pursuit of knowledge, responsible civic engagement, and a deep understanding of the relationship of the Christian faith and reason.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collaborates with the dean to ensure the success of the daily operations of the school.
- Teaches a 2/2 load as part of a twelve-month staff appointment.
- Provides oversight for the school’s graduate programs, currently International Development, Community Development, Health Sciences, and Computer Science.
- Provides oversight for the Army ROTC program.
- Provides oversight for the Summer Undergraduate Research Program.
- Facilitates the work of the other associate deans, chairs, program directors, faculty, and staff.
- Represents the dean on university committees and initiatives related to the operations of the school.

Qualifications
- Doctorate degree required, or equivalent experience
Required discipline: English, Liberal Arts or Humanities
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in University/college-level administrative leadership, with the requisite experience to be assigned associate or full professor rank.
