Summary
In support of the university’s mission and objectives, the Director of the Warren Library collaborates with the University community in positioning the Warren Library for ongoing excellence in supporting student success, enabling faculty and student research, and serving as a central nexus of the campus. The successful candidate for this position will be deeply knowledgeable about emerging technologies and will use that understanding as a foundation for leading the library toward a vision of serving current and future needs of PBA’s undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and greater PBA community.

The successful candidate for this position will be deeply knowledgeable about emerging technologies and will use that understanding as a foundation for leading the library toward a vision of serving current and future needs of PBA’s undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and greater PBA community.
Essential Functions
- Provide vision and leadership for the library in support of the University's mission and goals.
- Plan, develop, and deliver excellent library services that are accessible to all undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and the greater PBA community.
- Establish a process of review, assessment, and improvement of library programs, resources, and services.
- Develop an effective and collaborative leadership team within the library.
- Collaborate with the university’s academic and student leadership to strengthen and expand opportunities to address student and faculty needs.
- Manage the library's operations and budget with a focus on ongoing improvements in the context of the dynamic growth of the University with the library being a central nexus of the campus.
- Engage with the Office of the Provost and Advancement to write and receive appropriate library grants and help with advancement activities related to the library.
- Serve on university committees and task forces and attends faculty and university functions as an ambassador of the library.

- Master's degree required; Ph.D. preferred, or equivalent experience
- Library/information science from an institution accredited by the American Library Association
- Minimum 7 years, progressively responsible professional librarian and managerial experience, within a college or university library
