What are the responsibilities and job description for the EVENT SPECIALIST I (FRS - PARAPROF, Multiple Opportunities) position at Palm Beach County?
Assists and supervises special events and programs held throughout Palm Beach County. Opens and closes facilities; ensures compliance of permit conditions. Conducts site visits, produces written reports and works together with permit holders and the public.
Qualifications
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) months of experience organizing/supervising amphitheater operations and/or special events.
Necessary Special Requirement: Must possess or obtain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/First Aid/Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training certification within six (6) months of hire.
PREFERENCE FOR ONE (1) YEAR OF EXPERIENCE: Working as an assistant/coordinator for special events (e.g., 5K runs, corporate picnics, concerts, art festivals, live events) (must specify on application); marketing and promoting events; using Microsoft Office Suite (Word/Excel/Publisher/Outlook). Also desirable: Associate's Degree or college coursework in related field.
