Qualifications
Graduation or scheduled to graduate within nine (9) months of hire, from a recognized school of Veterinary Medicine or a Practitioner License within the State of Florida.
Necessary Special Requirements: Licensed to practice Veterinary Medicine in the State of Florida. New graduates must obtain a License to practice Veterinary Medicine in the State of Florida within six (6) months of hire. Out-of-state applicants must obtain a License to practice Veterinary Medicine in the State of Florida in order to start work. Must be able to obtain a Drug Enforcement Administration License within 60 days of start date. Must be able to obtain a Class 2 USDA veterinarian accreditation within 60 days of start date. Must successfully complete pre-exposure rabies treatment/vaccination or demonstrate a current protective rabies titer level.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Valid Florida State Veterinary License, pending graduation from veterinary school with pending licensing.
Will be required to complete a "Willingness to Work" Acknowledgement with application. Selected candidate must take the pre-exposure rabies treatment.
