Seeking an experienced and innovative Special Events Manager to lead the strategy and execution of high-impact events that resonate with our mission and elevate the brand presence of Palm Beach Day Academy. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in event planning and management to create memorable experiences that engage our audience and foster meaningful connections, working toward increased support for the School.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy that aligns with the organizational goals and mission identity of Palm Beach Day Academy.
- Strong history of volunteer management.
- Lead the planning and implementation of all special events, including internal gatherings, fundraising and campaign events, and community outreach events, ensuring flawless execution from concept to completion.
- Manage relationships with vendors, venues, and internal and external stakeholders to negotiate contracts, oversee logistics, and maintain high standards of quality and service.
- As a member of the Development team, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing and communications, and enrollment management, to create cohesive event messaging, branding, and promotional strategies.
- Stay current with industry trends to continuously enhance the guest experience and ensure events are innovative and engaging.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key partners, sponsors, and vendors to maximize event impact and resources.
- Analyze event performance metrics and gather feedback to continuously improve future events and strategies.
- 5 years of experience in event management, with a portfolio of successful large-scale events.
- Proven track record of managing budgets, timelines, and logistics for complex events.
- Exceptional project management skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
- Experience in the education or nonprofit sector.
- Familiarity with event management software and technology platforms.
- Proficiency in or familiarity with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
- Proficient in event management software (e.g., Cvent, Eventbrite, Canva) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with social media and digital marketing tools to promote events and engage audiences (Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok).
- Knowledge of audiovisual and technical requirements for live events.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas for events that capture attention and resonate with diverse audiences.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
