Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
Facility: Palm Beach Nursing Center
Location: Lake Worth Beach, Florida
Shift: PRN
Salary: $57 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate residents and develop appropriate treatment goals and methods.
- Implement the physical therapy treatment plan and complete all related documentation.
- Apply therapeutic techniques in gait, ambulation, muscle strength, coordination, endurance, mobility, posture control, sensory awareness, sitting/standing skills, balance, and orientation.
- Design and fit adaptive devices, and train residents in their use, including orthotics and prosthetics.
- Select physical modalities suited to each resident's needs and mobility activities.
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to ensure appropriate therapeutic regimens.
- Instruct residents in mobility activities and evaluate their progress.
- Adapt programs according to the individual needs of each resident.
- Participate in resident care and staffing conferences.
- Supervise supportive personnel in accordance with state and professional standards.
- Conduct training programs for medical, nursing, and other personnel in physical therapy techniques.
- Order supplies and equipment as necessary.
- Maintain and report equipment needs for repair.
- Ensure a caring and compassionate environment for residents and their families, recognizing individual needs and rights.
Requirements:
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
- At least 1 year of experience in a nursing home preferred.
