Monitors program compliance for all funding sources in accordance with appropriate regulations. Ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings and weekends. Travels to all campus locations of the College as needed.

About This Role

What a day of a Financial Aid Manager looks like:
- Provides leadership for the campus in fulfilling the mission of the College. May include overall coordination of campus academic, business and student service activities.
- Analyzes and evaluates financial need using Federal Methodology. Verifies and authorizes enrollment status and award disbursements.
- Notifies students of all financial aid awards and educational related benefits. Monitors the process from application to disbursement.
- Guides, leads, reviews, verifies, observes, and manages the work of people reporting directly and indirectly to you. Monitors and evaluates the performance of your employees. Develops and trains staff.
- Develops short- and long-term goals, objectives, priorities, and recommendations. Researches, interprets and adheres to compliance requirements.
- Evaluates and ensures procedures for compliance with federal state, local institutional laws, and regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality of work-related information and material.
- Evaluates and makes recommendation regarding Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships. Creates and sustains a culture that consistently supports the institutional core values.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- Four years of related experience
- Applicable Federal, State, Local, and County Financial Aid laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines
- Federal, State, and institutional verification policies and guidelines
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
- FERPA within 30 days of employment
- Motivating employees to apply the effort necessary to attain organizational and departmental goals
- Managing and resolving conflict in a positive manner
- Thinking strategically, effectively analyzing data, and implementing data-informed decisions
- Fact finding, analysis, and problem solving
- Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations and take responsibility for a high level of service
- Maintain high level of responsibility regarding confidential information
- Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
- Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness
- Exercise independent judgement and discretion utilizing company policies and principles with the understanding of when to escalate
- Regular physical attendance required
- Must not be debarred from Title IV Programs, and not in default on Title IV student loans
- Some periods throughout the year will require extended work hours including nights, weekends, and college closures
