We seek creative individuals to help PBSC fulfill its mission of inspiring hope, advancing skills, and transforming lives.About this role Responsible for the overall management, supervision, fiscal accountability, and training for Talent Search program activities and personnel, and adherence to Federal, State, TRiO, and College regulations, policies, and guidelines. Maintains information on program outcomes, creates program reports, and serves as the liaison to State and other related program entities. This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.What a day of a Program Grant Director looks like : Incorporates strategies to identify qualified youths and encourage them to complete secondary school, publicize the availability of financial assistance, and convince individuals who have not completed secondary or postsecondary education to enter and complete these programs.Creates opportunities for exposure to higher education campuses. Supplies opportunities for cultural events, academic programs, and other sites and activities not usually available to disadvantaged youth.Guarantees participants access to high quality academic tutoring to help enable the completion of secondary or postsecondary courses, and counseling to improve the financial and economic literacy of participants or participants’ parents.Ensures information and assistance is provided to participants for college examinations and admission applications, course selection, financial aid, and the completion of financial aid applications. Provides guidance and assistance for reentry into education including secondary schools, alternative education programs, GED programs, and postsecondary education.Develops, implements, and monitors programs and services for targeted populations to ensure project objectives are met. Evaluates the effectiveness and success of programs after implementation.Ensures compliance with program and budgetary terms set forth within the grant document. Prepares status and final reports for funding agencies or industry. Monitors expenditure and revenue patterns and adjusts the budget as needed.Creates an annual strategic plan for the program. Develops short-term and long-range goals, objectives, priorities, and recommendations to ensure deliverables are met.Manages the activities of two or more staff. Performs needs analysis to arrange, coordinate, deliver, evaluate, and monitor staff development.Acts as a College liaison for programs and services with outside agencies or community leaders. Communicates with targeted school and community personnel regarding the program and maintains data on program participants.Maintains current knowledge of field or profession.
