**Director of Nursing Role at USPI Palm Beach Surgical Suites**
We are seeking a motivated Director of Nursing to oversee our nursing team. Our surgery center performs outpatient procedures in Hand, Neuro-Spine, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Sports Medicine, and Total Joint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate nursing activities to ensure high-quality patient care, staff relations, and efficient service delivery.
- Coordinate patient care across all clinical areas, including Pre-op, OR, Endoscopy, and PACU.
- Supervise activities to ensure appropriate patient care and monitor efficiency in all clinical areas.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to share pertinent information with clinical staff.
- Work with the Materials Manager to secure equipment, special equipment, and supplies for upcoming cases.
- Assist in new employee orientation and training.
- Investigate and resolve complaints, referring unusual problems to the Director of Nursing.
- Interact effectively with patients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
- Maintain equipment safety guidelines and participate in environmental hazard surveillance.
- Ensure compliance with Standard Universal Precautions, National Patient Safety Goals, and principles of aseptic and sterile technique.
- Implement safe practices and provide guidance on environment of care management.
- Participate in reviewing and revising policies and procedures at the Surgery Center.
- Contribute to hiring, selection, performance reviews, and training of clinical personnel.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Current RN license required.
- CPR certification and advanced life support certification required.
- One year of leadership experience in an intra-operative setting required.
- Three years of OR Circulating experience required.
- Demonstrate clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities.
- Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
