Senior Property Accountant

Palm Beach Towers is the premier condominium association on Palm Beach Island—home to 250 luxury residences, 10 commercial entities, a fine dining restaurant, and more. The PBT Senior Property Accountant oversees the Association's financial affairs and accounting team, with dual reporting to the Board/Treasurer (strategically) and General Manager (operationally).

The role includes managing financial transactions, cash planning, invoicing, bill payments, budgeting, variance reporting, year-end audit procedures, and financial disclosures consistent with Florida statutes.

Responsibilities

•       Administration and controllership for $10 million annual budget volume.

•       Invoicing and receivables management

•       Payables management

•       Payroll processing

•       Banking relations and cash management

•       Accounting for all transactions, using QuickBooks Online cloud-based platform 

•       Regular variance reporting and explanations

•       Support year-end audit procedures conducted by independent auditors

•       Compliance with GAAP accounting and statutory financial disclosure rules

•       Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements

•       Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations and schedules.

•       Post journal entries and review General Ledger.

•       Review and analyze Accounts Receivable/Payable transactions.

•       Prepare additional financial reports as requested.

•       Assist with financial inquiries.

•       Facilitate year-end audits and budgeting

•       Implement process improvements and new technologies.

•       Assist with Accounts Receivable/Payable

•       Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

•       5-10 years experience in accounting and/or financial reporting

•       Degree in Accounting

•       Advanced proficiency in MS Office (incl. Excel)

•       Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) 

•       Comfort with handling and distilling large financial datasets for stakeholder insights

•       Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles

•       Excellent communication skills to make financial concepts understandable for owners

•       Independent thinker with integrity and confidence to ensure financial transparency
