Job Title: (1) Project Manager, (2) Estimator
Palm Beach Trim is a custom millwork and cabinetry manufacturer, supplier and installers with a long-standing history and reputation of providing our products services to custom and estate homebuilders in Palm Beach County. We are offering two separate positions, one for Project Manager and one for Estimator.
Project Manager (1)
Description:
The primary function of the Project Manager is to execute millwork contracts obtained by the estimating team from start to finish.
Major Responsibilities:
Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
1. Review project scope with the estimator and draftsman. Coordinate submittals, revisions, material orders, cut-list, etc. to ensure tasks are completed on time to meet the General Contractor Schedule. Managing client relations, including project contracts, purchase and change orders, coordinate with office comptroller on schedule of values, and billing, to promote a positive customer experience and develop long-term client relationships.
2. Attend mandatory weekly jobsite meetings. Obtain General Contractor scheduled millwork / casework delivery date. Perform field measurements for millwork / casework. Generate a millwork material takeoff list.
3. Establishing goals, schedules, and deadlines for each project-related process, including site dimensioning, shop drawing submittals, fabrication, sample submittal, order all materials included in the millwork scope (examples: Crown, casing, doors, hardwood, specialty hardware, veneers) and follow up to ensure delivery dates fall in line with project schedule, delivery, installation, and after project care.
4. Schedule installation processes with required work crews or subcontractors
5. Review all building plans to determine questions or possible issues. Work with General Contractor or Subcontractors to resolve issues to keep project on schedule.
6. Prepare inspection schedule and punch list for work crews, subcontractors and or site supervisor. Manage all follow up to ensure project completion.
7. Maintaining a highly detailed level of project-related documentation on a daily basis.
8. Perform all other project related duties as required to maintain performance schedule.Qualifications:
Required Skills:
1. Minimum education required: High School Diploma. Post-Secondary diploma/degree in Construction Management or a related field is an asset but not required.
2. Organized, self-disciplined, and capable of evaluating the weekly workload and obtaining cooperation from other departments. Ability to thrive independently and take initiative.
3. Special skills required: Ability to read and interpret building plans. Broad knowledge of all facets of custom millwork / casework construction and install. Previous experience working with installation crews. Ability to interpret contracts and legal agreements. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer relation skills. Ability to work with and motivate personnel to complete scope of work.
4. Special knowledge required: Detailed knowledge of millwork / casework manufacturing, specifications and costs. Knowledge of building code and inspection processes.
5. Computer literate. Ability to work in a variety of environments and platforms. Experience with Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel, Word, and material take off software such as Adobe Acrobat / Bluebeam (PDF editors).
6. Ability to work with General Contractors and Installers to meet scheduling requirements.
7. Strong mathematical and analytical skills a plus.
Required Experience:
1. Minimum experience required: 5 years of experience working in custom millwork and 3 years supervising work groups and managing subcontractors.
Working Conditions:
The Project Manager is an office position, with working hours at a minimum of 40 hours per week. At times, this position may be required to enter the shop to consult with the Production Manager, as well as participate in occasional site visits and client meetings. This position frequently interacts with clients and it is required to always present oneself in a professional manner.

Palm Beach Trim is seeking an Estimator that can immediately add value to the organization and integrate their skills with our current team.
Job Description:
Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing building plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades. Applicant needs to be technically efficient. Computer literate. Ability to work in a variety of environments and platforms. Experience with Microsoft Office, with a strong focus on Excel, Word, and material take off software such as Adobe Acrobat / Bluebeam (PDF editors).
Responsible for managing the projected time frame needed to complete job estimates and additional factors like the labor required, materials, budgets and potential contingencies. Duties include communicating with all levels of management as well as production personnel, architects, designers and customers.
