Palm Care Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to all pharmacy customers, both in-person and over the phone. Address customer inquiries, assist with prescription refills, and ensure a positive customer experience.
- Prescription Processing: Accurately and efficiently process prescription orders. Verify prescription information and dosage, and enter patient and prescription data into the pharmacy management system.
- Bilingual Communication: Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking customers to assist with their pharmacy needs, provide medication information, and answer any questions they may have.
- Medication Dispensing: Assist the pharmacist in dispensing medications, preparing labels, and packaging prescriptions for distribution.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and manage inventory levels. Receive and unpack pharmaceutical supplies, stock shelves, and monitor expiration dates.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations and standards, including HIPAA and OSHA. Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other staff members to ensure smooth pharmacy operations and high-quality customer care.
- Education and Training: Stay current with continuing education requirements and participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT): Must be certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent.
- Bilingual in Spanish: Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking customers.
- Customer Service Experience: Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clear and compassionate customer interactions.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
