Palm Commodities International, LLC is looking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician with electrical expertise for our chemical manufacturing facility in LaVergne, TN. This is a day shift position, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime available.

What you will be doing
As our Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance for all manufacturing equipment in our chemical plant, troubleshooting and repairing plant equipment, and performing skilled work with an emphasis on electrical installations. Specifically, this will include:
- Pipefitting and general plumbing;
- Rebuilding, repairing, and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic pumps;
- Assisting with removal of mechanical equipment;
- Aligning pumps and motors;
- Running electrical conduit;
- Using electrical testing equipment;
- Preparing material lists for electrical installations;
- Working on three phase motors and motor controls;
- Other duties as needed.
Who we are looking for
Our success is based on individuals who are ready to make the most of their skills and prepared to tackle any challenge they face. As well as a high school diploma or equivalent, you should have:
- At least three years’ maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility (chemical plant preferred, but not required);
- The ability to troubleshoot and repair small gas engines;
- Experience and demonstrated proficiency in maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment;
- Basic mechanical knowledge of pneumatic and centrifugal pumps;
- Experience with PLC systems or aptitude to learn;
- Working knowledge of the Electrical Code and the National Safety Code as applied to installing electrical wiring and performing electrical equipment repairs; and,
- The ability to wear PPE (including an air purifying respirator as needed), lift 70 lbs, and climb stairs and ladders.
