Job Description
Palm Commodities International, LLC has an immediate opening for a Shipping/Receiving Associate its LaVergne, TN facility. This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday on a fixed, day shift. What you will be doing
As our Shipping/Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for shipping and receiving industrial products in a safe, accurate, and effective manner in compliance with all applicable regulations. Specifically, this will include:
- Preparing documents required for shipping;
- Shipping and receiving product safely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable regulations, DOT, IATA, IMDG, as well as shipping samples of hazardous materials;
- Determining the efficient use of warehouse space and storing materials on a rotational basis;
- Verifying purchase orders and proper packaging requirements before shipment;
- Verifying accurate receipt of products;
- Operating a forklift, and loading and unloading of trailers; and,
- Other duties as needed.
Who we are looking for
Our success is based on individuals who are ready to make the most of their skills and prepared to tackle any challenge they face. We'll be looking for:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience safely operating a sit-down forklift.
- Physical ability to wear a respirator if needed and lift 55 pounds.
