Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental illness to implement behavior intervention plans, coordinate and hold groups and support their daily activities. This role requires a strong understanding of applied behavior analysis and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a licensed professional.
- Assist clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
- Monitor and document client progress, behaviors, and responses to interventions.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to medical guidelines and protocols.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including special education staff and medical personnel, to coordinate care and support for clients.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and uphold confidentiality standards in all interactions.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development related to applied behavior analysis and best practices in client care.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illness is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to understand treatment plans is beneficial.
- Familiarity with special education practices and crisis intervention techniques is a plus.
- Understanding of PTSD care principles is advantageous for supporting clients with trauma histories.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining a compassionate approach towards clients.
