Janitor/Laundry

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces.

Duties

• Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and waxing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Carry out industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Assist with facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or issues to management promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, ensuring supplies are stocked.
• Execute residential painting tasks when required to enhance the appearance of facilities.
• Serve as a porter by transporting materials or equipment as needed throughout the facility.
• Follow established cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure all areas are maintained consistently.

Requirements

• Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment operation is an advantage.
• Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting or moving equipment up to 50 pounds.
