Psychosocial Rehabilitation Specialist

Job Overview
The Rehabilitation Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges to achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. This position involves working collaboratively with clients to develop tailored rehabilitation plans, providing counseling, and facilitating access to necessary resources. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
• Provide counseling services, including gender issues counseling, to address specific client concerns and promote mental well-being.
• Utilize psychopharmacology knowledge to support clients in understanding their medication regimens and managing side effects.
• Implement therapeutic interventions such as art therapy to encourage self-expression and emotional healing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including healthcare providers, social workers, and family members, to ensure holistic support for clients.
• Monitor client progress and adjust rehabilitation plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress reports in compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, or a related field;
• Proven experience in counseling or rehabilitation settings is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of gender issues counseling techniques is essential.
• Familiarity with psychopharmacology principles is preferred.
• Experience or training in art therapy is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in rehabilitation.
