Job Title: Cardiac Surgical First Assist
Location: Wisconsin (Contract)
Duration: 13 Weeks (with possibility of extension)
Shift: Monday – Friday, Days, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Back-up & Call: 2-3 times per week
Employment Type: 1099 Contract
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Surgical First Assist to join a high-performing team in Wisconsin. This 13-week contract position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic group of professionals in a leading medical facility. There is potential for contract extension based on performance and need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in a variety of cardiac surgeries, including both off-pump and on-pump bypass graft cases, AVR, MVR, TVR, and Full Maze procedures.
- Perform minimally invasive maze surgeries and thoracoscopic/thoracotomy procedures.
- Assist in pacemaker placements, TAVR procedures, pericardial window creation, and ascending aortic dissections with subclavian cannulation.
- Provide surgical support for patients in various stages of recovery.
- Serve as back-up and on-call 2-3 times per week.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in off-pump and on-pump bypass graft cases.
- Strong experience with AVR, MVR, TVR, and Full Maze procedures.
- Proficient in minimally invasive maze techniques, thoracoscopic, and thoracotomy surgeries.
- Experience in performing pacemaker insertions, TAVR, and pericardial windows.
- Extensive experience with ascending aortic dissections, specifically with subclavian cannulation.
- Robotics training and experience with thoracic cases are highly preferred.
Additional Information:
- This position requires flexibility for back-up and on-call duties 2-3 times per week.
- A 1099 contractor status is offered for this position.
