Palm Medical Centers (PMC) is seeking a visionary and strategic Director of Analytics to lead and expand our enterprise-wide healthcare analytics function. This individual will be instrumental in transforming data into meaningful insights that drive clinical, operational, and financial performance across the organization. - Provide strategic direction and oversight for all analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of analysts, ensuring high performance and continued professional development.
- Partner with senior leadership, clinical, operational, and IT teams to understand business needs and develop data-driven strategies. While clearly embracing a “first-class” service behavior to serve the needs of our internal customers.
- Oversee the development of enterprise dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks that support strategic planning and performance management.
- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of all data used in reporting and decision-making.
- Lead advanced analytics initiatives, including predictive modeling, risk stratification, and AI/machine learning applications/efforts.
- Standardize and scale analytics processes across departments for consistency and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for innovation through data, including new service lines, operational efficiencies, and improved patient outcomes.
- Present high-level insights and recommendations to executive leadership in a compelling, business-focused manner via clear written and verbal communications.
- Serve as a strategic advisor on regulatory reporting, risk adjustment, value-based care metrics, and payer relations.
- Provide for quality control mechanisms for the work products the team produces.
- Self-disciplined in continuous improvement cycles while enabling order in daily initiatives with competing priorities while maintaining core functions operational.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Advanced expertise in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and at least one business intelligence platform (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Experience managing teams and cross-functional analytics initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare data sets (claims, EMR, HEDIS, risk adjustment, utilization, etc.) and file transfer / data warehousing needs.
- Demonstrated success in using data to inform strategic decisions and drive operational outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to data governance, security, and HIPAA compliance.
- 7 years of experience in healthcare analytics, data science, or business intelligence, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of Managed Care or Medicare Advantage highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Majority of work is performed in a corporate office setting, indoors.
- Travel may be required.
