What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Services/Housekeeping position at Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center?
Palm Shores Behavioral Health Center is currently seeking an experienced Environmental Service Worker/Housekeeper to join our team. As an Environmental Service Worker/Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment in accordance with hospital and OSHA standards. This is a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our patients, staff, and visitors.
Work Schedule: Wednesday-Sunday (Monday/Tuesday off)
7 am-3:30pm or 8 am -4:30pm
Hourly rate based on experience
Experience/Requirements:
- 1 year previous experience cleaning in a hospital or healthcare setting is required
- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop and climb for periods up to eight (8) hours. Must be able to operate mechanical equipment used in the housekeeping department. Must be able to read, write and follow instructions. Lift up to 50 lbs, carry 10 lbs.
- Ability to effectively clean and sanitize various surfaces and materials
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to understand and communicate in English both verbally and in writing. Additionally, to be able to follow written and/or oral instructions, and to record completed assignments as required.
Background: Must be able to pass a Level 2 Background Screening to work in Healthcare (AHCA) and Pre-employment Drug Test.
