We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices. This role involves maintaining gardens, lawns, and hardscapes, ensuring that our clients' outdoor spaces are beautiful and well-kept throughout the year.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and care for gardens, including planting, pruning, and weeding.
- Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, fertilizing, and aerating.
- Install and maintain hardscape features like patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Irrigate landscapes effectively to promote healthy plant growth.
- Utilize hand tools and equipment safely for various landscaping tasks.
- Dig and prepare soil for planting or installation of landscape features.
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access to properties.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular checks and basic mechanical knowledge.
Experience
- Previous experience in landscape maintenance or related fields is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with gardening techniques and plant care is beneficial.
- Ability to operate hand tools and small machinery safely.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems is a plus.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to landscaping.
