Vet Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of animal anatomy and veterinary practices, providing high-quality care to our patients. This role requires a commitment to animal welfare and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in treating animals by preparing and maintaining examination rooms.
• Perform laboratory tests, including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams.
• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Provide support in veterinary care situations, ensuring the safety and comfort of animals.
• Good communication skills, positivity and teamwork
• Conduct pet grooming tasks, including bathing, nail trimming, and ear cleaning.
• Implement proper animal husbandry practices to promote health and well-being.
• Restrain animals safely during examinations and procedures to minimize stress for both the animal and staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records for all patients while ensuring confidentiality.

Experience

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment used in veterinary medicine.
• Demonstrated ability to perform animal restraint techniques safely and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members effectively.

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

• Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
