Qualifications
The Resident Billing/Office Clerk assists in the maintenance of the internal accounts, accounts receivable, Medicare billing, Medi-Cal billing, insurance billing and private pay system of PVRC to ensure accurate, timely processing in accordance with state and federal regulations and facility policy and procedures.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
- Must possess adequate clerical and bookkeeping skills to perform essential functions.
- Minimum high school diploma with an associate degree in business or accounting fields; and/or experience in billing operations in healthcare related field, preferred.
- Must have at least six (6) months clerical/bookkeeping experience.
Other Requirements:
- Must show initiative in completing all duties.
- Must be team player.
- Must have excellent verbal and writing skills.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff, family members, and other visitors.
- Must be proficient in computer skills.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Must be detailed-oriented and maintain records in a systematic, neat and legible manner.
- Must be able to work with and support the plans and programs of the organization.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with fellow staff members.
- Must have the ability to work with a variety of people.
- Must have flexibility to perform a variety of tasks and ongoing projects.
- Judgment, composure, and discretion are required in personal appearance, communications and in dealing with elderly people and confidential information.
Salary : $20 - $23
