About the Position:
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Seasonal Floor Supervisor to join our dynamic team at Palmer Alehouse. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in hospitality, leadership, and a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences. As a Floor Supervisor, you’ll work directly with the Floor Manager to ensure smooth daily operations and provide support to all Front of House (FOH) staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the FOH, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Offer hands-on support to all FOH positions, helping wherever needed.
- Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure seamless service throughout.
- Handle guest concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Perform discounts, voids, and other POS adjustments as needed.
- Assist in opening and closing the venue and supervise these procedures when required.
- Work alongside the Floor Manager, and act as the Manager on Duty (MOD) when senior management is not present.
- Maintain and enforce health and food safety standards, venue policies, and service standards set by management.
- Oversee the four key areas of our service system: the host stand, the floor, the bar, and the pass.
- Step in as needed for any FOH role, ensuring all areas are fully supported.
- Help facilitate communication between the host stand and management regarding waitlists, seating times, ticket times, and personnel status.

- Proven leadership and industry experience with a strong focus on guest experience and hospitality.
- Exceptional multitasking, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and act quickly when necessary.
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain positive guest relations.
- Willingness to be flexible and take on additional duties as required.
- Prior experience in hospitality, leadership roles, and POS systems.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Required Certifications & Experience
- State of Alaska Food Worker Card
- TAP Card
- Basic beer and wine knowledge.
- Previous experience in leadership positions within the hospitality industry is a plus
